MP: 2 jewellery shops looted

Neemuch(MP), Aug 28: Gold and silver ornaments worth Rs 60 lakh were looted by about 20 armed people from two jewellery shops at Manasa in Neemuch district of Madhya Pradesh yesterday, police said.

At least six people were injured when the criminals, while indulging in loot, fired at indiscriminately to scare away people.

After finishing their target, the criminals fled the spot on foot, police added.

Few months ago, a jewellery shop at the industrial town of Mandideep near the state capital was also looted in a similar style and the criminals walked away to the nearest rail track.
