Usha Martin acquires Dutch company

Kolkata, Aug 27: Usha Martin Limited has acquired the business of DE Ruiter Staaikabel BV, Netherlands, a distribution company having warehouse and rigging facilty at Euro three million.

The acquisition was made through the company's wholly owned subsidiary in the UK, Usha Martin International Limited, a press release here today said.

The Dutch company has a brand equity in high end rope and allied products for shipping, port and oil field applications and this acquisition will help Usha Martin to widen its reach in the European market.

Usha Martin is a leading producer of speciality steel and one of the largest wire rope manufacturers having facilities in Ranchi, Jamshedpur and Hoshiarpur in India, the UK, Thailand, UAE and the USA.
