Two get life imprisonment in a kidnapping case

Patna, Aug 27 (UNI) A fast track court today awarded life term to two people in a case of kidnapping for ransom.

The court also slapped a fine of Rs 5,000 on both the convicts.

Fast track court judge Ajit Kumar Sinha found Amarjit Kumar, a resident of Mokama and Sonu Kumar, a resident of Barh, guilty of kidnapping a school going boy for ransom.

According to the charges, Rupesh Kumar, a student of class seven was kidnapped by the convicts for a ransom of Rs ten lakh on April 27, 2004.

However, the victim was rescued safely by police after some days.
