Rupee opens at 40.93/95 per USD

Mumbai, Aug 27: The rupee today moved up at 40.93/95 per US dollar, taking a jump of nearly thirteen paise as compared to it's previous close of 41.06/07.

''The local currency drew support from firm Asian stock markets as traders hoped for more capital inflows into local equities,'' a dealer with private commercial bank said.
