PM should hear Tarapur project affected people: Ram Naik
Mumbai, Aug 27 (UNI) Former Union Petroleum Minister Ram Naik today said Prime Minister Manmohan Singh should first listen to the grievances of Tarapur project (three and four) affected people before dedicating the same to the nation.
In a letter to the Prime Minister, Mr Naik said all the villagers from Akkarpatti and Pofran were evicted for this project.
He alleged that the Central and State governments and the Nuclear Power Corporation were delaying the rehabilitation of these villagers despite court directives, and added that he would join the agitation launched by the villagers in this regard.
