UP: Doctor hacked to death
Jaunpur, Aug 27: A doctor was hacked to death by armed assailants at Gaura Badshahpur area of this district today.
The incident took place near Bhuili modh, when Dr Shahjad (48) of Bhuili village was on his way to coaching, police said.
According to sources, few villagers wanted to own the 'ration shop' of a man who had support of Dr Shahjad and other villagers.
This resulted in personal envy with the doctor.
Doctor Shahjid was also teaching in a coaching institute, besides practising his profession.
Police personnel had been deployed in the area to avoid any untoward incident.
A manhunt had been launched.
