Bangladesh-Pakistan FS level talks to begin from Wednesday

Dhaka, Aug 27 (UNI) Bangladesh and Pakistan will hold Foreign Secretary level talks here on Wednesday after a lapse of one year to discuss trade expansion, investment and communications particularly shipping links.

Pakistan Foreign Secretary Reaz Mohammad Khan will be in Dhaka on August 29 to lead his country to the fourth round of talks while Bangladesh Foreign Secretary-in-Charge Touhid Hossain will lead the home side.

Mr Touhid told UNB news agency that issues relating to trade, investment, shipping, cultural and educational exchanges would come up for discussion.

''There is no possibility of signing any MOU on this occasion, rather the meeting will review the progress so far made in these areas,'' he said.

Last Foreign Secretary-level meeting between the two countries was held in Islamabad in August 2005.
