Will not allow Chemical Hub in WB: Mamata

Nandigram, Aug 26 (UNI) AITC supremo Mamata Banerjee today unequivocally declared at her party meeting in Sonachura near here that her party will not allow the construction of a Chemical Hub anywhere in the state.

Coming down heavily on the ruling Left Front government, Ms Banerjee declared, ''Killing hub is another name for Chemical Hub.

So we will resist it with every drop of our blood.'' She had called a meeting in protest against the killing of party activist Madhab Mandal on August 24 near here.

Squarely putting the blame on West Bengal Chief Minister Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee for the March 14 mass killing in Nandigram, she alleged that the Chief Minister had hired a 'killer group' to accompany the police for killing AITC party supporters.

''Killers are being hired even from Andhra Pradesh and Jharkhand,'' she claimed.

''We will hold a similar meeting in the CPI(M) den at Khejuri very soon,'' Ms Banerjee declared while adding, ''I will personally visit Madhab Mandal's house to meet his bereaved family members.'' Meanwhile, cross-fire continued between CPI(M) and Bhumi Uchhed Protirodh Committee(BUPC) activists throughout this afternoon in Bahargange and Ranichak areas.
