War like stores recovered in Kashmir

Srinagar, Aug 26 (UNI) Troops busted an underground hideout and recovered war-like stores in the Kashmir valley, a defence ministry spokesman said today.

He said troops of 29 Rashtriya Rifle (RR) a special operation group of Jammu and Kashmir Police, launched a joint operation at Durhom in north Kashmir district of Baramula following a tip off about a militant hideout.

After a long search for several hours troops finally unearthed a hideout constructed underground.

The arms and ammunition recovered from the hideout included, 20 UBGL grenade, three mortar bombs, one RPG grenades and other warlike stores.

However no one was arrested.
