Katihar, Aug 26 (UNI) All India Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) general secretary Tariq Anwar today exuded confidence that the deadlock between the UPA and Left parties over the Indo-US nuke deal will vanish soon.

The Left parties should not take rigid stand on the nuclear deal and maintained the decision was taken in the interest of energy requirement of the nation.

''In this era of globalisation, no country can afford to keep itself aloof from the changing scenario. Even a communist country like China was not hesitating in reaching an agreement with US,'' he added.

''Indo-US nuclear deal was inked to facilitate in achieving the goal set for energy sector by the planning commission'', he noted and affirmed the deal would not go against the national interest Mr Anwar said no political party was in favour of mid-term poll but if the rigid stand of the left parties do not melt during the days ahead, there would be no other option but to go for mid term poll.
