One dies, 12 injured as bus hits lorry

Eluru, Aug 26 (UNI) One person was killed on the spot and twelve others were injured, two of them seriously, when a state owned RTC bus collided with a lorry at Satyanarayanapuram in Denduluru mandal of West Godavari district on the Chennai-Kolkata National Highway today.

Police said a Vijayawada-bound bus from Kakinada dashed against a lorry which was stationed there.

The deceased who owned the lorry was also driving it.

The 12 passengers of the bus were admittedto a hospital here.

Two of them were shifted to University General Hospital at Vijayawada as their condition was critical.
