Noted columnist HSK hospitalised

Mysore, Aug 26 (UNI) Noted Columnist H S Krishnaswamy Iyengar, popularly known as HSK, was hospitalised after he developed giddiness at a function organised to celebrate his 88th birthday.

Mr Iyengar was sitting with noted poet Chennaveera Kanavi and other dignitaries at a function organised by Kuvempu Trust to felicitate him on his birthday.

While listening to the speech by Minister for Kannada and Culture H S Mahadeva Prasad, he developed giddiness and fainted. He was rushed to the hospital. His condition was however stated to be out of danger.

Family sources said Mr Iyengar was suffering from stomach ache for the past three days.
