Columnist Krishnaswamy Iyengar hospitalised

Mysore, Aug 26: Noted Columnist H S Krishnaswamy Iyengar, popularly known as HSK, was hospitalised after he developed dizziness at a function organised to celebrate his 88th birthday.

Mr Iyengar was sitting with noted poet Chennaveera Kanavi and other dignitaries at a function organised by Kuvempu Trust to felicitate him on his birthday.

While listening to speech by Minister for Kannada and Culture H S Mahadeva Prasad, he developed dizziness and fainted. Mr Iyengar was immediately rushed to the hospital and he was stated to be out of danger.

Family sources said that Mr Iyengar was suffering from stomach ache for the past three days.

Earlier, Mr Iyengar was felicitated in the function.
