Naxals kill 2, hurt 18 in Chhattisgarh
Jagdalpur, Chhattisgarh, Aug 26 (UNI) Two persons were killed and 18 villagers injured by a group of naxals in Bijapur district's Pakarpara village early today, police said.
Those hurt were brought to a hospital at Bhairamgarh this morning. Superintendent of Police Ratan Lal Dangi reached the spot.
The rebels surrounded the village at about 0200 hrs.
Supporters of the anti-ultra Salwa Judum movement were living in huts. The extremists pulled them out of their homes and rained blows on them. Four women were among the injured.
The deceased were identified as Pursam Jaggu (35) and Habka Baldev (40).
