Varanasi, Aug 26 (UNI) Former Bihar Chief Minister Rabri Devi today accused the media of promoting the non-performing government of Nitish Kumar in Bihar.

''Bihar mein koi sarkar nahi hai. Nitish ke kushasan ko media chala rahi hai'' (there is no government in Bihar, it is the media which is running the misgovernance of Nitish Kumar in the state), she said while addressing open session of sixth national convention of RJD at Sarnath here today..

''There is complete anarchy in Bihar. Children are being kidnapped, women raped and poor people are in deep pain. Take the case of recent floods in the state where instead of being provided relief those rendered homeless were being tortured by the Nitish Kumar regime,'' Rabri Devi, the leader of opposition in Bihar assembly alleged.

''Instead of highlighting the failures of the anti-people government in Bihar, media was promoting Nitish Kumar's government's hollow achievements. Media should report the truth in Bihar rather than promoting the present government in the state.'' Later, addressing the convention, RJD supremo Lalu Prasad gave a call to the partymen to rout the Nitish government from Bihar.

''Prepare yourself to wage a battle against the non-performing Bihar government by working for the success of the October 28 Chetawani Rally in Patna.'' Mr Prasad also alleged that ''Bihar CM Nitish Kumar was playing in the lap of the Sangh Parivar, which was not concerned with Bihar's development.'' He also accused the JD(U)-BJP government in the state of not implementing central government schemes in Bihar.
