Mah Govt to implement Srikrishna Commission Report: Patil

Kolhapur, Aug 26 (UNI) Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister R R Patil today reiterated that the state government will implement the Srikrishna Commission Report on the 1992-93 riots in Mumbai in her any circumstances.

Talking to reporters here, Mr Patil, who also holds the Home portfolio, said there is some speculation about the implementation of the report, but the government will go ahead with it without any pressure.

On farmers demand to hike milk rate, he said the government has appointed a committee to prepare a detailed study about the hike in milk rate, which will submit its report soon. After which, the state cabinet will take a decision.

Saying the government has recently launched the 'Tanta Mukt' (dispute free) villages scheme in the state, Mr Patil urged the media to support the government in this regard on priority basis for dispute-free villages.
