Karnataka CM, Dy CM condemn Hyderabad blasts

Bangalore, Aug 25 (UNI) Karnataka Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy and Deputy Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa today expressed shock over the twin blasts that occurred in Hyderabad and killed at least 37 people and injuring scores of others tonight.

In a statement issued from Bellary, where the two leaders are on a tour, they said, ''We condemn the blasts, which officials suspect the handiwork of terrorists. It is dastardly act against innocent people and everyone should condemn it'', they added.

Meanwhile, the Home Ministry had sounded a high alert in the state, especially in Bangalore city, where the security had been stepped up, top police officials said.
