Free mass marriage held in Tirupati
Tirupati, Aug 26 (UNI) The free mass marriage, Kalyanamastu by TTD was conducted with gaiety and religious pomp at all kalyanamandapams and temples in the state today.
The Chief Justice G S Singhvi, Assembly Speaker Suresh Reddy, Union Minister T Subbirami Reddy had personally handed over the golden mangalasutrams to 108 bride grooms, who tied nuptial knot in the presence of their parents and relatives.
The Governor blessed each and every couple, TTD said in a release here.
TTD Trust Board Chairman B Karunakara Reddy said the kalyanamastu programme would help to strengthen the Hindu marriage system and traditions, which would in turn help to cement the social fabric of Indian society.
