Four persons injured as building partially caves in
Mumbai, Aug 26 (UNI) Four persons were injured and several others feared trapped when the first floor of a multi-storey building caved in at Raheja Complex in Chandivali area of Powai here today.
The mishap, involving the 'Mehfil leap'' building, occurred at around 1730 hours this evening, police said.
The injured have been rushed to the nearby Hiranandani hospital, where their condition is stated to be stable, Powai police station officials said.
The building, located near a Municipal school, was not in the list of the dangerous buildings, a civic official said.
Fire engines were at the spot, with fire-brigade officials and municipal staff engaged in rescue operation, the official added.
