Fisherman nets box containing explosives

Nagapattinam, Aug 26: A plastic box containing explosives was netted by a fisherman, who had ventured into the sea for fishing yesterday.

Police sources said the fisherman Muniappan was fishing off Kodiakarai coast in Nagapattinam district when he found the box in his net.

A red label containing the word ''explosives'' was affixed to the box.

Vedaranyam police had seized the box and a bomb squad from Nagapattinam would examine the explosives.
