Darbhanga boy killed in Hyderabad blast

Darbhanga, Aug 26 (UNI) A second year engineering student from Darbhanga Surjeet Kumar Jha was among those killed in the serial blasts triggered by suspected terrorists in Hyderabad yesterday evening.

Surjeet, son of Rajnarain Jha, an income tax advocate from Rai Saheb Pokhra Mohalla in the district, was an engineering student at Amrath Vahini College of Engineering in Pune.

Mr Jha told UNI that he was on an educational tour to Hyderabad and was watching the laser show at Lumbini park when the blasts went off.

Citizens of the locality were shocked and expressed sympathy for the aggrieved family members on death of Surjeet. His father expressed deep concern over way terrorism was being handled in the country and added that if the government takes measures to prevent its recurrence, it would be a tribute to the departed souls.
