Cinema theatres to install metal detectors

Hyderabad, Aug 26 (UNI) In the wake of bomb blasts at Lumbini Park and Gokul Chat near Koti area here last night, the city Police Commissioner Balwinder Singh today instructed the management of the cinema theatres to install door frame metal detectors to screen all persons entering into the premises.

According to an official release here, Mr Singh said the persons should also be physically checked with hand-held metal detectors and should not be allowed to bring any baggage into the theatres.

Stating that the cinema halls should be checked thoroughly between the shows, he said no theatre would be allowed to screen films without installing the security equipments.
