Abducted school student rescued by police

Saharsa, Aug 26 (UNI) Police today rescued an abducted school student from Bhimbandh area under Karzain police staton in Bihar's Madhepura district.

Deputy Inspector General (DIG) (Koasi range) Sahab Akhter here said one of the kidnappers was arrested yesterday and a motorcycle used in the crime was recovered from him.

Acting on a tip-off, police raided a hideout at Bhimbandh and rescued seven-year-old Bumbum, the DIG said.

However, rest of the kidnappers managed to flee, Mr Akhter said adding that they have been recognised and would be nabbed soon.

Bumbum, son of a local businessman from Gamharia Bazar under the same police station in the district on August 24.
