37 killed, over 60 injured in AP blasts
Hyderabad, Aug 25 (UNI) At least 36 persons were killed and more than 60 others injured, scores of them seriously, in twin serial blasts here tonight triggered by suspected Pakistan-sponsored terrorists of Jaish-E-Mohammad.
However, unofficial sources said the toll of the blasts at the Lumbini park and Gokul Chats could be as high as 50 and number of injured could go up to 100.
The first blast occurred at around 1940 hrs, when more than 500 people were watching the laser show at Lumbini park a few metres away from the high security Andhra Pradesh Secretariat.
A group of 50 engineering students from Maharashtra, who had come to witness the show, were also caught in the blast.
