UP: Three women hacked to death

Pratapgarh, Aug 25: Three women of a family were axed to death over property dispute in Kanghai area here.

Police Superintendent Brijraj Meena said the police station in charge Mahendra Kumar Verma had been suspended for dereliction of duty in the matter.

The incident took place at Ananpur village, where Dasi (70), Prana Devi (60) and Sona (35) were brutally murdered by their relative Ajab Narayan and his three aides.

The accused later fled from the scene.

A case had been registered and a manhunt was launched.
