TAMI eyes more trade between AP, Taiwan

Hyderabad, Aug 25 (UNI) Taiwan Association of Machinery Industry (TAMI) Director John Chen today said there were plenty opportunities for bilateral trade between Andhra Pradesh and Taiwan.

Addressing the members of the Federation of Andhra Pradesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FAPCCI), he said Taiwan produced some of the best machine tools and parts in the world.

A delegation comprising representatives of metal cutting machine tools, CNC machines, rubber and plastic machinery, printing and packing machinery sectors was here meeting prospective buyers for the products and spares.

The delegation was also visiting individual industries for possible exploration of joint ventures.

Welcoming Mr Chen, FAPCCI President A Subba Rao said bilateral trade and investment between the two countries was growing.

At present, the two-way trade stood at two billion US Dollar which was likely to grow at 15 per cent per annum and reach 10 billion USD in the next couple of years, he added.
