Security beefed up in Mumbai after Hyderabad blasts
Mumbai, Aug 25 (UNI) Security in the metropolis was stepped up following the twin blasts in Hyderabad tonight.
''Orders for additional bandobast at all the sensitive places across Mumbai and the rest of the state have been issued.
Nevertheless, the security in the state has already been on alert since August 15,'' Deputy Chief Minister and Home Minister R R Patil told UNI tonight.
Meanwhile, Mumbai Police Commissioner D N Jadhav while talking to UNI said though all security mechanism were already in place, Crime Branch and Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS) and other city Police units have been alerted in the wake of the blasts in Hyderabad.
Strict vigil is being kept at the city's international and domestic airports as well as all the railway stations.
Twin blasts occurred in Hyderabad tonight, killing at least 10 people and injuring over 30. The first explosion occurred at the Lumbini Park, near the Andhra Pradesh Secretariat, leaving five dead.
In another explosion in Koti area of the city, 5 more were killed and more than 30 injured.
