Non-bailable warrant issued against MCD official

New Delhi, Aug 25 (UNI) A special CBI court today issued a non-bailable warrant (NBW) against Atul Vashisht, an Upper Division Clerk (UDC) in Slum and JJ department of MCD.

The CBI submitted before the special CBI judge SK Kaushik that Vashisht was the epicentre of the fake land allotment scam and had connections with private parties involved in the scam.

The clerk was not attending office and his department had suspended him for this. He was also not available at his last known address.

Even his family members did not have knowledge of his whereabouts. In view of this submission, the court issued an NBW against him and asked CBI to produce him by September 7.

The court sent Jeetram Gaur and Arun Kumar Mishra, who were earlier in CBI custody, to judicial custody till November 7.
