Murder case accused commits suicide

Thiruvananthapuram, Aug 25 (UNI) One of the accused in a case relating to the murder of a school girl after sexually assaulting her at Vellarada in this district of Kerala allegedly committed suicide today at a hospital.

Manikandan(21) who was handed over to the police by the locals after beating him up at the scene of the incident was undergoing treatment at a government hospital at Parasala.

Yesterday, Manikandan and two others yesterday allegedly sexually assaulted 14-year-old Dhanya before strangling her to death and setting her on fire.

UNI
