Bhubaneswar, Aug 25 (UNI) Four police teams have been constituted to arrest suspended Orissa's Director General(Home Guard and Fire Services) B B Mohanti after a non-bailable warrant issued by a lower court in Jaipur against him was served to Orissa police yesterday .

The DGP is accused of abetting his son Bitihotra, sentenced to seven years imprisonment in Alwar rape case, jumping parole on December 4 last.

The Orissa government had already cancelled the DG's leave application and suspended him from the job soon after the NBW was handed over to the Cuttack District Collector for execution.

State Home Secretary T K Misra told newsmen here that the team was constituted after Cuttack Superintendent of Police failed to trace Mr Mohanti despite a search in his office and residence to serve and execute the arrest warrant.

The Home Secretary said Mr Mohanti was on unauthorised leave as his application for seven days casual leave on health ground from August 24 to 31 was rejected by the government.

The suspension order of Mr Mohanti was sent to him by a special messenger this morning, Mr Mishra said.

The Home Secretary said he had received a four page letter from the suspended DGP dubbing the recent warrant sent by the Rajasthan court as ''defective and invalid''.

However, the Home Secretary said the warrant was technically correct and '' we can take every step to arrest him now.'' UNI
