Maoists set CPI(M)'s party office in Nadia afire
Krishnagar, Aug 25 (UNI) Maoists activists today set afire the CPI(M)'s party office at Asharnagar under Kotwali police station in Nadia district.
District Police Superintendent H K Kusumkar said the extremists set the building afire early this morning. The extent of damage was yet to be ascertained.
However, there was no report of any casualty or injury, the SP added.
Earlier reports had said the extremists had triggered an explosion.
Police said several leaflets and pamphlets were recovered from the area.
A special police team had rushed to the spot and cordoned off the area.
