Karnataka CM, DCM condemn Hyderabad blast

Bangalore, Aug 25 (UNI) The Karnataka Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy and Deputy Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa today expressed shock over the twin blast that occurred in Hyderabad that killed at least 37 persons and injured scores of others tonight.

In a statement issued from Bellary where the two leaders are on a tour, they said ''We condemn the blast which officials suspect the involvement of terrorists. It is dastardly act against innocent people and everyone should condemn it''.

Meanwhile the home ministry has sounded a high alert in the state, especially in capital Bangalore city where security had been stepped up, top police officials said.
