ISRO scientific advisor killed in accident
Tirupati, Aug 25 (UNI) Mr Rajiv Lochan, scientific advisor of the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) and his driver were killed while Mr S Krishnamurthy, Director, Public Relations, ISRO suffered serious injuries in a road accident at Sangampalli in Chittoor district early today.
Police said Mr Lochan and Mr Krishnamurthy were on their way to Sriharikota enroute Tirupati, when the car in which they were travelling collided with a truck.
Mr Krishnamurthy, who suffered serious injuries was admitted to Sri Venkateswara Institute of Medical Sciences (VIMS) here.
Sources in VIMS said the condition of the Public Relations officer was serious.
The two were on their way from Bangalore to Sriharikota to make arrangements for the launch of GSLV on September 1.
Enroute, they decided to meet Mr Madhavan Nair, who was camping in the Temple town.
UNI
