Haryana notifies rules for clearance to industrial units

Chandigarh, Aug 25 (UNI) The Haryana government has notified rules to provide single point time-bound clearances required for setting up and operating industrial undertakings in the state.

A spokesman for Haryana Industries and Commerce Department today said these rules would be known as the Haryana Industrial Promotion Rules, 2007.

He said the state government had also constituted a High Powered Clearance Committee headed by Principal Secretary to Chief Minister to receive composite application forms for grant of clearances for setting up of industrial units with investment of Rs 30 crore and above.

The other members of the committee included Principal Secretaries of Excise and Taxation, Power, Town and Country Planning, Industries, Labour and Environment. The Director, Industries and Commerce would be the Member Secretary.

He said that High Powered Clearance Committee would meet atleast once in a month and it would be the final authority in granting clearances, and these would be binding on all concerned authorities.

Such authorities would issue the required clearances to the entrepreneur within three days of the receipt of orders of this committee.

The spokesman said the State Level Clearance Committee headed by Principal Secretary, Industries would have five other members including Principal Secretaries of Power, Excise and Taxation, Town and country Planning, Labour and Environment Departments.

The Director, Industries and Commerce would be the Member Secretary.

The details of the composite applications forms received from entrepreneurs at least 15 days prior to the ensuing meeting would be placed before the committee. The authority would grant or issue necessary clearances within three days of the receipt of orders of the committee.

He said the District Level Clearance Committee headed by Deputy Commissioner concerned would have five members, where the General Manager, District Industries Centre would be the Member Secretary.

The committee would receive composite application forms for grant of clearances for setting up of industrial units with proposed investment of up to Rs five crore.
