Final decision about alliance with Sena before Sept 15: Munde

Nashik, Aug 25 (UNI) BJP national general secretary Gopinath Munde has hinted that a final decision about the alliance with the Shiv Sena in Maharashtra would be taken before September 15.

'' There is no final decision yet. We have taken opinions of the MPs and MLAs and now we will take opinions of activists also. But the final decision will be taken in the state unit working committee meeting, as the BJP is a democratic party and the committee is a proper platform for taking the decision'', Mr Munde said in an interview to a TV channel last night.

About the Shiv Senas decision, he refused to comment saying it was their party's internal matter.

The BJP leader also said there would be no new equations before a decision about the alliance was taken.

Senior BJP leader along with BJP state unit President Nitin Gadkari and other leaders, was in Nashik to attend the coordination meeting of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) here on Thursday.

Earlier, Mr Gadkari and Mr Munde had denied to comment on the decision regarding the alliance, as they were in the city to attend the RSS meeting, and as such, it will be improper to state anything regarding the matter.

The two leaders yesterday held discussions with local BJP leaders and office-bearers.
