Chahal's judicial custody extended till Sep 15

Patiala, Aug 25 (UNI) A local court here today extended the judicial custody of Bharat Inder Singh Chahal, ex-media adviser of former chief minister Amarinder Singh, till September 15, in the disproportionate assets case registered against him by the Vigilance Bureau.

Counsels for Mr Chahal, NPS Waraich and JPS Sarao appeared in the court of the Additional Sessions Judge cum Special Judge Bhupinder Singh today, along with him as his bail application will come in the same court on August 29.

The Punjab and Haryana High court has already granted him bail in a case registered against him at Ludhiana and he has also been given bail in ''Mercedes'' and ''kitchen case'' registered by Patiala police.

Chahal also appeared in the court of Sr Judge Jatinder Kaur regarding the Mercedes Benz case today and court fixed October 13 for the next hearing.

Meanwhile, Chief Judicial Magistrate, S S Panser has fixed September 28 for next hearing in the Kitchan case against Chahal.
