Bhopal, Aug 25 (UNI) BJP General Secretary Anant Kumar today said he did not rule out the possibility of mid-term election due to the recent political developments at the Centre and his party was prepared for it.

''The United Progressive Alliance(UPA) government's downfall has started with the nuclear agreement with the United States.

Either the nuke deal or the UPA government will survive'', Mr Kumar, BJP incharge of Madhya Pradesh, told reporters on the sidelines of the swearing in ceremony of new ministers at the Raj Bhavan lawns.

Pointing out that the present nuclear deal was against the nation's interest, he said erstwhile National Democratic Alliance (NDA) government had taken steps towards the country's self reliance on nuclear security, but the present government was bent upon destroying it by going ahead with the agreement.

Asked about the possibility of mid-term election, he said anything could happen. ''The UPA government was in the dock on the nuclear agreement issue'', he added.
