All India Conference on diabetics from Sept 8

Chennai, Aug 25: The Diabetic Foot Society of India will organise its sixth Annual All India Conference from September 8.

The three-day event would focus on several issues related to diabetics and its implications in the country.

Talking to newspersons, Organising Secretary Vijay Viswanathan said the first day of the meeting, held at the Indian Institute of Technology, would comprise a series of lectures as part of the ongoing medical education programme.

''About 500 doctors and other officials are expected to participate in the seminar'', he said adding the delegates would share their experiences in diabetic issues.

Dr Viswanathan said one of the unique features of this seminar was the release of a national guidelines booklet on diabetic foot by Health Secretary V K Subburaj.
