Two dead, 50 injured as Bus falls into paddy fields

Mysore, Aug 24 (UNI) Two persons, including a woman, were killed and 50 others were injured when a private bus fell into the paddy fields near Srirangapatna in Mandya District about 25 km from here today.

Police said the mishap occurred when the driver of the bus, proceeding from Mahadevapura to Arakere Village, lost control while negotiating a bend. One of the dead was identified as Venkatachala, while the woman was yet to be identified.

The injured had been admitted to K R Hospital here.
