Three crushed to death by speeding train; toddler survives

Lucknow, Aug 24 (UNI) Three people, including two children, were today crushed to death by a speeding train here.

But a toddler survived the accident and was found near the by villagers.

Police said they received information that bodies of a woman and two girls were lying near the Lucknow-Kanpur railway track in the Sarojini Nagar area on the outskirts of the state capital. A one-and-a-half-year-old girl was found the near accident site by the villagers.

''Prima facie, it seemed to be a case of accident...the toddler was found without apparent injuries,'' a police official said.

The victims could not been identified so far.

UNI
