Seven Baiga tribal die

Shahdol, MP, Aug 24 (UNI) Seven people belonging to Baiga tribe -- facing threat of extinction -- have died due to diarrhea and gastroenteritis in this district, official sources said.

Health and Medical Officer Umesh Namdev confirmed that the death occurred due to different reasons.

Dhundha Baiga (68), Budhwa Baiga (80), Domari Baiga (30) died at Singhpur primary healthcare centre. Besides, other deceased included Tersi Baiga (26), Machchoura Baiga (43), Sanna Baiga (45) and Bulbu Baiga (26) died.

Collector Jagdish Sharma announced an ex-gratia of Rs 1,000 each family member of the deceased.a UNI
