Sanjay Dutt appears before CBI

Mumbai, Aug 24: Cine-star Sanjay Dutt and four other convicts in the 1993 Mumbai serial blasts case, who have been granted interim bail by the Supreme Court, appeared before the CBI here today as per the court directives. Dutt was accompanied by his friend Pankaj Kharbanda when he reached the CBI office.

At the CBI office, Dutt was asked to sign in a register to show his presence, following which he was given a small diary in which the official signed and verified his attendance.

He was told to attend the office on Fridays till the time he is out on bail.

Besides Dutt, his friend Yusuf Nallwala, and other convicts -- Zebun-Nisa Qazi, Sameer Hingora and Baba Moosa Chauhan -- also appeared before the CBI sleuths.

A large number of Dutt's fans waited outside the CBI office to catch a glimpse of the superstar.
