Rupee eases, opens at 41.09/10

Mumbai, Aug 24: Rupee today eased at 41.09/10 per US Dollar, taking another dip of nearly five paise against dollar as compared to the previous close of 41.04/05 per dollar.

''The Indian unit eased as traders focused on the fallout of turbulence in the US housing and credit markets,'' a senior dealer with a leading private bank said.

Yesterday, taking a reversal Rupee dipped by about fifteen paise against US dollar and closed at 41.04/06 in a day of volatile trading in the Interbank Foreign Exchange (Forex) market.
