Monsoon recedes in Rajasthan
Jaipur, Aug 24 (UNI) Monsoon weakened in Rajasthan today after three consecutive days of rainfall which drenched the parched desert areas of Jaisalmer and Bikaner, providing respite to the people here.
According to the weather and irrigation department, Jaisalmer received more than 75 mm of rainfall in the past 24 hours.
Jaisalmer's Nokh tehsil received 60 mm rainfall, Pokhran 28 while Ramgarh 16 and Sam 16 mm.
Bikaner's Nokha tehsil received over 90 mm of rainfall in the past two days with Kolayat 39, Sujangarh 10 and Lunkaransar 12 mm rain. Barmer district's Gadrarod recorded 15 mm, Alwar's Neemrana 10 mm, Sikar's Neem Ka Thana 22 mm and other places recorded trace rainfall.
The weather has warmed up in the state capital with the sun shining brightly most part of the day with clouds hovering in between.
The forecast said some parts will would witness thunder and lighting with mild showers in the next 24 hours.
