Kerala soldier commits suicide in Assam

Guwahati, Aug 24 (UNI) Soldier Siva Prasad Key, 35, of the Solmara Signal Regiment allegedly committed suicide at the Tezpur cantonment last night.

Official sources said Key committed suicide at around 2300 hours by shooting himself from his rifle.

Originally from Thiruvananthapuram, Key was residing at the cantonment with his family.

After the post mortem, the body was handed over to the family today. The cremation was done with full military honours.
