Imphal, Aug 24: The Joint Action Committee(JAC) formed against the brutal killing of two youths on August 22 at Bishenpur district by unknown assailants, has refused to take back the bodies of the two duo.

Two brothers O Binod kumar and O Subash of Bishenpur district were found killed at Ithai, Bishenpur by unknown persons on August 22.

Convenor of the JAC Oinam Ibojao said it had demanded Rs three lakh each for the deceased and a judicial inquiry into the incident, identification and punishment of the killers as well.

Chief Minister O Ibobi Singh was against the institution of the judicial probe.

Ibojao warned if any underground organisations were involved in the killing, they should clarify by tomorrow and if no clarifications were made, the JAC would not allow any militants to enter the area at Bishenpur district.

The JAC said the bodies would be taken after the government conceded its demands.

The bodies were still lying at the morgue of the Regional Institute of Medical Sciences, Imphal.
