I'm dissapointed with my role: Arya Menon

Kolkata, Aug 24 (UNI) In reel life she was Gul Iqbal playing at left position for "Chak De India" hockey team, but in real life Arya Menon is not happy with her position.

Talking to UNI here today, Arya said she was not satisfied with her small role in Shimit Amin's directorial debut "Chak De India".

'' Many of my scenes have been deletd. I was initially not happy when I saw the movie, '' Arya said adding she had nothing much to do without a dialogue or two.

There were some technical problems, she added.

Asked on the reactions of her closed ones, she said, '' My parents and friends were unhappy but then they stood by me when I was low.

They infact boosted my confidence. It is not the end of world, I have to go miles, '' Arya said smiling as her team mate Subhi Mehta gave her a peck.

The 19-year-old girl from Bangalore, who did her Mass Communication with film studies as specialisation, had played hockey at the school level and after the movie it has been her favorite sports.

Having bagged two films down the south, Arya did not disclose details, saying she had become very superstitious after her role was cut short in the movie.

However, she clarified that she had been offered films from very big banners in Tamil and one in Telegu.

When asked on her experience in the movie, Arya said it was thrilling to work with King Khan.

'' Shah Rukh Khan is a darling and a very good hockey player. He had never made us feel that we were novice. His stubble in the movie is simply hot! '' she said.

'' All the 11 of us had a very rood rapport among ourselves and the six months of rigorous training had given us a lesson that name and fame are so difficult to achieve, '' she iterated.
