Denotified Tribes Development Authority to be constituted in MP
Khargone, Aug 24 (UNI) Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan today announced that Denotified Tribes Development Authority (BTDA) would be constituted for development of 'Banjara' community.
Mr Chouhan, while addressing a 'Banjara' Sammelan here said, said a member of Banjara community would be appointed as the President of the BTDA.
He said reservation would be provided to Banjara community in education and other fields on the lines of Maharashtra.
A work plan was being chalked out to make employment opportunities available for about 10 lakh unemployed people.
Mr Chouhan also announced that a memorial would be built in the memory of tribal freedom fighter Tantya Bheel.
Akhil Bharatiya Banjara Samaj President and MP Haribhau Rathore, Tribal Welfare Minister Vijay Shah, state BJP President Narendra Singh Tomar and former MP Krishna Murari Moghe would be present.
