Cinema hall vandalised

Bhopal, Aug 24 (UNI) A local cinema hall was vandalised by agitated spectators when the first show of Hindi film 'Heyy Babyy' was halted due to a technical problem causing poor audio.

''Three people have been arrested in this regard while other spectators will be identified and held on the basis of a local news channel's video footage showing them vandalising the hall'', said City Superintendent of Police Dharamveer Singh Yadav.

A large crowd had assembled at the Sargam cinema hall for the movie when they started complaining about the poor audio which was not rectified. ''Annoyed spectators broke glass panes and furniture both inside and outside the hall. Later, the show was cancelled'', said Mr Yadav.

However, spectators alleged that despite technical problem and cancellation of the show, the hall management did not pay any heed towards their demand of refunding tickets. Besides, no responsible person was present there to hear their grievances, they added.
