Biological diff exists b/w Left and BJP: Sushma

Bangalore, Aug 24: Senior BJP leader and former Union Minister Sushma Swaraj today said there was biological difference between Left parties and BJP, despite both opposing Indo-US Nuclear agreement.

Talking to newspersons here, she said while BJP's opposition to nuclear deal was 'pro-India per se', Left parties were opposing it due to their anti-American 'posture'.

Criticising that the UPA government had surrendered India's sovereignty on conducting nuclear test in the future, Ms Swaraj said the BJP would oppose it both outside and inside Parliament.

She said when Mr Vajpayee was the Prime Minister, he had taken a decision to go ahead with Pokharan II test. India was aware of opposition to it, but ignored it in the country's interest.

''NDA Government faced the challenge and upheld the sovereignty of the country. However, the UPA government has totally compromised the country's interest,'' she added.
